-The distance education expert met the authors in November to work out a detailed work schedule and to define work style.
-Information on DE requirements and sample distance education materials were given to both authors in November.
-The distance education expert took part in a three day workshop on the structure of the home nursing material.
-Graphic expert (Ms. Piroska Balogh) was selected and the style of the figures was decided.
-Negotiations were carried out with three pressing houses.
-Expert for editing the printed materials (Mr. Z. Gugolya) was selected and retrained in the usage of the Ventura software and in the production of DE materials.

-The first three chapters of the paper based material were received from the author of the home nursing material.
-The first three chapters of the home nursing paper based material were re-edited according to DE requirements.
-The first six chapters of the family doctor paper based material were received from the author of the family doctor retraining material.

-Discussions with the two authors on the edited versions of the two materials - decisions on modifications in progress
-The DE expert had a meeting with the TQM expert to define the checking points of the paper based material production.
-A Study Tour was organised and completed at Mid-Sweden University, Östersund between 01.02.1997 and 06.02.1997. The cooperating resource centers were selected whose tasks are described in details in Key Tasks 5., 7. and 8. in the project contract.
-Contracts were made with the selected resource centres according to which they organise their activities in three phases each completed by an internal report to the contracting/coordinating institution.
-The resource centres submitted their workplans and first reports on their activities in the first period of the project.
