Welcome you among the participants of the Alternating Engineering Education/ European Integration Strategies Conference which will be held at Visegrad 25-28 of May.

The conference will take place at the Silvanus Hotel, which is about 45 km far from Budapest, close to the Visegrad Citadel on the Fekete Hill. The purpose of this letter is to give you all the necessary information about getting to the conference, about the services provided and the detailed program of the meeting.

Visegrad can be reached from Budapest by bus, ship or car.

• The bus starts from the Budapest- Arpad bridge terminal (on the Pest side) at every hour 30 minutes. The journey takes about 90 minutes and you will have to get off at the Visegrad-Rev bus stop. A one-way ticket costs about 500 HUF.
• There is a bus service from Szentendre (about 20 km from Budapest), which can take you conveniently to the Silvanus Hotel but there are only 3 buses daily, starting from the Szentendre bus terminal at 8:45, 11:45 and 14:45. This journey takes about 60 minutes and costs 260 HUF. You can go to Szentendre by hév (suburban train) from Budapest- Batthány square, the schedule of which is attached. This trip takes about 45 minutes and costs 200 HUF.
• Besides these, regular buses start from Szentendre to Visegrad every 30 minutes.
• Visegrad can be reached from Budapest by ship as well. It starts from Budapest- Vigado square at 9 AM and it arrives at Visegrad at 12:20 PM. It costs 200 HUF.
• If you are coming by car, take Road 11 to the North. In the centre of Visegrad follow the sign showing where to turn to the Silvanus Hotel. The hotel is on the top of the hill, about a 4-km drive from Visegrad.
• If you would like to go up to the Silvanus Hotel from Visegrad please call the following number from Visegrad : +36-26397372 (taxi) or call the organisers at +36-209613114 ( Ildiko Varga ) and we will order the taxi for you. This taxi drive costs about 1700 HUF/car.

Friday (26.05) morning:

9:30-12:30. Alternating Engineering Education. Presentation of the adaptation of a French educational form in Hungary. Chairman: Peter Moson. 15:30- 18:00. European Integration Strategies in Human Resources Development. Chairman: Peter Soltesz. Invited contributors: Gérard Kuhn (CNAM, Fr), Francois Laulan (CNAM, Fr.), Endre Udvardi Lakos (Ministry of Education, HU).

20:00. Dinner.

8:00-9:00. Breakfast.

9:30-10:30. Continuation of the discussion on alternating education, European integration Invited contributors: Peter Meszaros (student, BUTE, H), Laszlo Dunai (tutor, BUTE, H), Gabor Füredi (Danube Ironworks, H).

10:30-12:30. Proposals on the further cooperation.

13:00. Lunch.

15:30-18:00. Individual discussions on possible bilateral, multilateral cooperation. Meeting of the consortium of TEMPUS UM Jep 13352/98.

19:00. Dinner.

7:00- Breakfast, departure.

We are happy for the large number of registered participants, but unfortunately it means that we can not place everybody at the Silvanus Hotel. We booked rooms in another, nearby hotel, so please note on the attached form whether you accept a 2-bedroom, shared accommodation guaranteed at the Silvanus Hotel or you prefer a single accommodation, maybe at the other hotel.

During the conference we provide 3 meals daily, the first main meal is the dinner on May 25 at 7 PM. We can order lunch for those who will arrive earlier on the 25. Departure is on the 28 of May, the rooms have to be left before noon.

The Silvanus Hotel offers several recreational services (e.g. sauna, swimming pool, table tennis, fitness room and squash), which you can use during your stay on your own cost.
